    WHY DID THE CUCKOO LAY ITS EGGS IN OTHER BIRDS NESTS?


    Because they are not stupid.

   So says my daughter.

   l think she has a point.

    No but I think 'Cuckoo' mothers (those park their children to get on with their careers - and I DON't include Mums who have to work) are missing out on a lot of those little moments that make motherhoood worthwhile.
